The Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station is in the northern part of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Building the power station was a difficult and huge project that had to overcome the physiographical conditions most unfavourable in the history of construction of hydropower stations of the country. But the Korean young people built the power station.
At the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station there is the Monument to Feats of Heroic Youth telling the feats of youth forever.
The monument was inaugurated in December 2016.
The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un proposed building the monument and chose its site.
Seen at the centre of the upper part of the pedestal is his autograph "Monument to Feats of Heroic Youth".
Embossed under it is the medal of Hero of the DPRK.
Originally, the mark of the youth league could have been embossed according to a plan.
Examining the plan, Kim Jong Un said the medal of Hero of the DPRK should be represented instead of the mark of the youth league so that all people could know the heroic feats performed by the young people on the Paektu plateau.
The Monument to Feats of Heroic Youth tells the noble love of Kim Jong Un who highly praised the young people for having carried out the task given by the Workers' Party of Korea with credit despite the hardships and trials.
