The Farm Machine Institute has been successfully built as a central base for leading the comprehensive mechanization of agriculture.
The institute has different facilities, experimental apparatuses and equipment necessary for the research into the farm machines, their trial production, technical exchanges and exhibition of products as well as the researchers’ living. It is a comprehensive and multi-functional base for putting on an integrated basis the scientific research, the training of reserve talents and the scientific and technological guidance over production in the field of farm machinery.
An inauguration ceremony of the institute took place on January 23.
Present there were Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, officials concerned and those of relevant units, working people and employees of the institute.
Ri Chol Man made an address.
The speaker stressed the need for the researchers of the institute to kindle the flames of revolution in the field of farm machinery this year greeting the glorious Party Congress and thus fulfil their responsibility and duty as the advance group for realizing the programme of the rural revolution in the new era.
At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the institute.
