Inhabitants of Ragwon County, widely known throughout the DPRK along with Ragwonpho associated with the legend of great love, greeted the significant day of starting the construction of assets of civilization and prosperity again in their region.

The construction for regional development policy began with due ceremony in Ragwon County on February 5.

Present at the ceremony were officials and working people in South Hamgyong Province and Ragwon County and soldier-builders.

Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, addressed the ceremony.

The reporter said that wonderful regional-industry factories, hospital and leisure complex would be built this year in the county, where the fishing village, reminiscent of fairyland envied by the world, was built thanks to the spirit of selfless, devoted service for the good of the people of the Party Central Committee to bring about a steady, great upsurge in regional development in the new era with a stronger will and vigorous effort, the higher the dreams and ideals of the people grew.

He extended sincere thanks and warm encouragement to the reliable soldiers of the construction unit who are performing great patriotic feats by devoting their sweat and pure conscience in the vanguard of the era of great changes for fulfilling the plan and desire of the Party Central Committee.

The speaker said that the on-going worthwhile and honourable creative struggle calls for bringing about another leap forward in the great transformation unprecedented in history, ardently calling upon all to rally closer around the Party Central Committee with loyalty and patriotism and make greater strides in the advance for the comprehensive development of the state to adorn this significant year with victory and glory.

Then a commanding officer of the 124th Regiment of the Korean People’s Army made an oath-taking speech.

The speaker vowed to build all the structures at the highest level by fully embodying the unshakable patriotic will of the Party Central Committee to make the people the happiest in the world.

He expressed the resolve to continue to add glory to the precious name as the staunch defenders and implementers of the Party’s policies and the creators of the people’s happiness by putting the operation and command of the projects on a scientific basis, according to the process-specific order, and directing sustained efforts to strengthening the construction forces, thus fully ensuring architectural beauty, practicality and convenience in every structure.

The soldier-builders, full of the zeal to shout hurrah for the Workers’ Party after bringing about epoch-making transformation in the new era, launched the construction.
