People and service personnel of the People's Army across the country significantly celebrated the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army.
The visitors to the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche, where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are laid in state reverentially looked back upon their sacred revolutionary lives and exploits.
Officials, working people, service personnel and school youth and children laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before the mosaic murals of the great leaders in different places and paid homage to them.
Lots of people visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery.
The flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was fluttering in major places of Pyongyang, provinces, cities and county seats, and at institutions, industrial establishments and farms across the country, and various posters and visual aids were posted, increasing the festive atmosphere.
Colourful performances were given at theatres and in other places of the capital city of Pyongyang, South and North Phyongan provinces, South Hwanghae Province, South Hamgyong Province and the city of Nampho.
A great number of working people and youth and students throughout the country called on war veterans to congratulate them.
Public catering service amenities, the Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum and other bases for cultural and emotional life in Pyongyang and provinces were crowded with working people spending a pleasant time. Songhwa, Hwasong and Jonwi streets in Pyongyang wonderfully built into monumental creations in the era of the Workers' Party were decorated with gorgeous lights on the evening of the holiday.
