Spring comes after winter – this is the inexorable law of nature.

Resembling such a law, a whole new season arrives each year in our country.

At the 10 th Session of the 14 th Supreme People’s Assembly in January, 2024, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un adopted a new local development policy of building up-to-date industrial factories in 20 counties every year and also announced that the Party Central Committee would take the direct charge. With this large project briskly underway, material and cultural living standards of city and county population across the country are projected to be enhanced to a great extent within the span of 10 years’ time.

In February, 2024, a grand ceremony for starting the construction of industrial factories in Songchon county was held, signaling the launching of project for implementing the local development policy.

Back then people had yet to realize how fast or how wonderfully our Party’s grandiose plan would come true.

Anyone born to this land should lead an equally affluent and civilized life with the socialist policies of the state in place no matter where they live, either in the capital or in provincial areas, in urban or in mountain villages - this is the noble ideal of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

He visited different construction sites all across the country including that of Songchon County throughout the year from the launching to the completion of projects and gave specific instructions on how to identify room for development and what to do with it – all for the realization of dreams and welfare of our people.

His energetic leadership and strenuous efforts bore fruits: The first-year projects for local development were successfully completed one after another by the end of 2024, which was followed by launching of the second-year projects at the beginning of 2025.

It is the firm resolve of the great leader that the undertaking meant for national prosperity and people’s welfare should continuously expand year after year. Such resolve of his produced eye-opening result: More projects were completed all at the same time in the second round of inauguration season than in the first and those projects covered hospitals and leisure complexes along with light industrial factories.

We are witnessing the annual remarkable transformation of the DPRK whose credit goes to the local development policy formulated by leader Kim Jong Un . It is highly commendable that the construction of industrial factories, hospitals and leisure complexes have been completed in dozens of cities and counties. Korea means what it says, a decisive country that does anything it decides on.

That is how a new word has been coined in our country. Infallible decisiveness of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave start to the joyous inauguration season, a new concept that was not yet a dictionary entry. It was also noted by the world media that he definitely does what he says under favourable conditions or otherwise when it comes to the wellbeing of our people.

The year 2026, the third year of revolutionary transformation of provincial areas, has already commenced.

Having set forth grand plans for completing more projects than last year in the designated 20 cities and counties, our Party is energetically leading the struggle for their implementation.

Envisaging great plans soon to be announced by the great father for our people at the glorious Party Congress, our people are continuing with the struggle for comprehensive development and national prosperity with energy, pride and dignity proper to Koreans.
