Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) — The 3rd People’s Art Festival in Celebration of February 16 was held with splendor at theatres and halls across the country on Saturday to mark the 84th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The venues of art performances in the capital city resounded with songs praising the great man and revering him to be heard endlessly along with the auspicious February holiday.
Art performances were given at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre by art groups of the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Light Industry and the Ministry of IT Industry.
The performers put on the stage narrations and songs “Might of Korea” and “Dear Name”, chorus “February Is Spring” and other numbers in praise of the noble revolutionary life of Kim Jong Il.
Art groups of the Ministry of Railways, the Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Hungbu Running Water Plant Management Office under the Pyongyang Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Management Bureau put on the stage numbers of high ideological and artistic value at Ponghwa Art Theatre to depict the history of Kim Jong Il’s revolutionary leadership.
Such songs as “Dear Father” and “People Are beside Marshal” represented the highest respect of all the people for the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Art performances were given by art groups of the Central Committee of the youth league, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection at the Central Youth Hall and by mobile artistic motivation teams of Mangyongdae District and the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory at the Central Hall of Workers.
Yearning and reverence for the peerlessly great men were overflowing in all parts of the country along with the People’s Art Festival.
The mobile artistic motivation team members of the Taeyu Copper Mine sang of the joy and excitement of celebrating February 16 as the greatest auspicious holiday in such numbers as chorus “Fortune of Korea”.
Mobile art motivation teams members of Kwail County, the Kwanhae Farm in Unryul County and Sariwon City and art group members of the Ongjin Mine and the Ryangdam Farm of the South Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economic Committee showed well their happiness of leading a worthwhile life in their native places being transformed into lands good to work and live in under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Mobile artistic motivation teams from the Joyang Farm under the South Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economic Committee and Kyongwon County and art groups from the Toksong Apple Farm and the township farm in Hwadae County demonstrated their revolutionary will to consolidate the foundations for national prosperity by dint of patriotism.
Mobile artistic motivation team members of Samjiyon City and art group members of the Taehongdan County Potato Processing Factory and the Mojong Vegetable Farm in Hyesan City sang of the devoted service for the people’s wellbeing rendered by Kim Jong Un who is ceaselessly leading the great historic cause of regional transformation to build on this land a large flower garden where the people-first principle is applied.
Among the audience were officials, working people, youth and students in relevant areas.
