It happened when GeneralSecretary Kim Jong Un came out in the hall on the second floor duringhis visit to a base for cultural and leisure activities under construction.
The General Secretary stoppedto look round the hall for a while, and asked what it was for.
An official answered that itwas a scientific exhibition hall and the General Secretary asked again whatwould be put on display in the hall.
The official replied that fishspecimens and various other things would be put on display there. Then heexpressed his dissatisfaction, saying that they had better serve soft drink andothers in the hall.
In fact, the officials hadintended to set up a soft drink stand on the first floor while designing thestructure. If so, they now understood, people coming out to have a rest in thehall on the second floor would have to pass the long corridor and get down thestairs to the first floor to get soft drinks.
The officials were quiteashamed that there was a defect in the design.
Looking at the officials, theGeneral Secretary tenderly told them to set up stands on the first and secondfloors so that people could drink water or simple soft drinks there during abreak in the middle of seeing animal feats.
Thanks to the warm care of theGeneral Secretary who gives top and absolute priority to the people’s convenienceand interests in all affairs, a soft drink stand was put up on the second floorof the base for cultural and leisure activities.
