One day in October 2015, the respectedGeneral Secretary Kim Jong Un visitedthe Sci-Tech Complex which had just been completed.
After being briefed on it infront of its bird's-eye view, he looked round different places of the complexand pointed out shortcomings to meticulously indicate the ways for addressingthem.
Although the officials askedhim to take even a little rest, the General Secretary went to the basic sciencehall on the first floor. There he referred to the fact that the hall was built likean exhibition hall, failing to conform to the mission of the Sci-Tech Complex.
He said that the complex had moreexhibition sections than e-library sections in it, adding that it should be inevery way a house which people visit to learn new science and technology, not abuilding which they visit to see exhibits.
It was the ardent request ofthe benevolent father who wants the Sci-Tech Complex to become a temple oflearning both in name and in reality, which makes a substantial contribution toimplementing the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy on making all the people wellversed in science and technology, not a symbolic building.
