It happened one day in May2013 when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un looked round theMajon Bathing Beach.
While looking round differentplaces of the resort as beautiful as a picture to acquaint himself in detailwith the problems arising in its management and operation, he asked about thenumber of the visitors to it in summer.
An accompanying official saidthat the visitors included many people from not only Hamhung City but alsoPyongyang, boasting that Hamhung citizens were especially regarding it as partof their life to visit the beach more than three times a year.
Laughing delightedly, the GeneralSecretary said it was really good and that it showed well that the people’slevel of demand for cultural and leisure activities was very high.
Looking at the beautifulbathing beach as if he visualized the people spending a good time there, theGeneral Secretary referred to the improvement of the bathing beach onto theworld’s level as required by the new century as an important undertaking to providethe people with a happier life, and said:
Clean seawater, clear air,sunshine and beautiful landscape not only have a good effect on people’s healthbut also is very good for the prevention and treatment of diseases. It is aduty of our Party which serves the people to improve the bathing beach asrequired by the new century.
Engraving the significantinstructions of the General Secretary in their minds, the officials vowed to domore work for the people, true to the noble intention of him who values thepeople most.
