The factory situated at Sadong District, Pyongyang was established in September 2009. It covers a total area of 29 978 square metres.
All the production processes like raw material processing, fermenting, distilling, storage and even alcoholic beverages processing and packaging are automated and streamlined.
The factory’s products are all alcoholic drinks such as Pyongyangju (30%), Pyongyang Soju (25%) and Koryo Sul (30%, 40%).
They are ISO 22000-certified products.
Pyongyangju and Pyongyang Soju are made from white rice and corn.
Koryo Sul is a functional alcoholic drink made from world-famous Kaesong Koryo insam, a speciality of Korea, and glutinous rice. It contains the medicinal substance of insam and does not give rise to headache and nasty taste, which are common in medicinal alcoholic drinks. The savour of parched rice and the peculiar taste of insam are mixed organically in the Koryo Sul, so it is popular.
The factory gives priority to improving the quality of its products and developing more famous products.
