In his answer on July 2 to the question put by a journalist of the Chinese newspaper “Global Times” in respect of the current China-U.S. relations, Ji Jae Ryong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) mentioned that the United States is escalating the China-U.S. relations into the confrontation between ideas and systems by openly negating the Communist Party of China and the Chinese socialist system itself.
He said that recently, the U.S. is taking the China-U.S. relations to extremes by finding faults with China in various fields including economy, science, technology, security, human rights and foreign affairs, and he continued. This shows that the U.S. feels a practical threat to its dominant position at the sight of development of China and strength of socialism. That is why the U.S. is attempting to eventually divide and disintegrate the socialist China by triggering off “jasmine revolution” in China in a way of sullying the trust of the Chinese people in the Communist Party and interfering in the internal affairs of China including the issue of Hong Kong and the cross-strait relations.
The Ambassador expressed full support to and solidarity with the efforts of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people for shattering the interference and arbitrariness of the U.S. and safeguarding the national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and he emphasized that the DPRK would as ever continue to work with the Chinese people shoulder to shoulder on the road of struggle for the victory of the socialist cause.
