Another year of victory has been recorded in the history of our country which vigorously advances towards the realization of the ideal of a powerful country with the might of the single-hearted unity under the leadership of the great Party.
All the people of the country, who are greeting the significant New Year Juche 110 (2021) when the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) will be held, are extending the best wishes of immortality to President Kim Il Sung , founding father of socialist Korea, and Chairman Kim Jong Il , who are the great leaders of our Party and people and the great sages of the revolution.
Kim Jong Un , Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00, January 1, 2021 together with the delegates to the 8th Congress of the Party.
The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, sacred temple of Juche where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state, was wrapped in a solemn atmosphere.
He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Pyong Chol, Kim Tok Hun and Pak Pong Ju, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other members of the Party Central Committee leadership body and the delegates to the 8th Congress of the Party.
A floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un , Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces, was placed before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il .
Also laid were floral baskets in the names of the WPK Central Committee, State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
The Supreme Leader together with the visitors paid high tribute to the statues.
At the halls where the President and the Chairman lie in state, the Supreme Leader offered them his New Year’s greetings in the deepest reverence.
The members of the Party Central Committee leadership body and the delegates to the Party Congress hardened their firm pledge to glorify the 8th Congress of the Party as the watershed in the development of the Party and the revolution and discharge their responsibility and duty on the road of advance in the New Year to bring earlier fresh victory of the socialist cause.
