The 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea sent a reply message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on January 11.
The message said the Eighth Congress of the WPK expressed sincere gratitude to the CPC Central Committee for sending a wholehearted congratulatory message to its congress ahead of others.
It said that the delegates to the 8th Congress of the WPK and all its members received the hearty and warm congratulation and wish from the CPC Central Committee as a great support, invigoration and encouragement.
It noted that as mentioned in the report made at the Party Congress, the WPK opened up a new chapter of firm friendship with socialism as its core by putting primary efforts into the development of long-standing special relations between the two parties and the two countries during the period under review.
The message confirmed that all the members of the WPK will exert themselves to consolidate the DPRK-China friendship invested with great devotion of the top leaders of the two parties and further develop it as required by the times in the future, too.
Saying the Eighth Congress of the WPK extended militant greetings to the CPC Central Committee and all its members, the message hoped that fresh successes would be registered in the building of socialism with the Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the CPC with general secretary Xi Jinping at its centre.
