“Defence White Paper” Designed by Japan to Cover Up Its Ambition of Reinvasion

Date: 05/06/2021 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

Japan has recently drafted and circulated “2021 Defence White Paper”, planning to formally pass it at the cabinet meeting in July.

Japan releases “Defence White Paper” annually, justifying its moves for arms build-up, and it never omits to mention “threats from its neighbors.”

It is totally ridiculous that “threats from its neighbors” are mouthed by Japan – a country that had inflicted immeasurable miseries and pains on the peoples of Korea and other Asian countries.

In these days alone, under the pretext of “bolstering defence capabilities”, Japan has become undisguised in its military manoeuvres in the air, on land, at sea and even in the outer space by way of developing new-type surface-to-air guided missiles and reconnaissance drones, building new-type Aegis-system vessels, commissioning every kind of ultramodern submarines, putting in place army electronic warfare unit and space operation force, etc. Japan is also openly raising “flag of rising sun shedding rays” – symbol of the Japanese militarism.

The Japanese “Self-Defence Forces” already threw away completely the veneer of “total defence” and converted themselves actually into attack forces in terms of their scale, character and operational perimeter.

In the draft of “2021 Defence White Paper”, the Japanese government stated that the DPRK is a “serious and imminent threat to the security of Japan.” This betrays the sinister intention of Japan to hide its true color as the main culprit wrecking peace and security in the region and to speed up its move for cooking up a belligerent constitution and becoming a military power by exaggerating “threats from its neighbors.”

This attests to the stark reality that the very one that threatens neighbours is none other than Japan.

The “Defence White Paper” of Japan falls far short of being a white paper. It will be fitting to describe it as a totally deceptive paper of turning black into white, hiding its wild ambition for reinvasion.
