The Jongbaek Junior Middle School in Rangnang District in Thongil Street of the capital city Pyongyang is making successes to improve the qualifications of teachers with the viewpoint that teachers' qualifications mean the students' ability.
The school is channeling efforts into preparing the teachers as able educators with political and theoretical qualifications, scientific and theoretical qualifications, and educational and practical qualifications.
Vice-Principal Ko Song Jin says:
"We have set a goal to say all the teaching words in foreign language. Through the assessment of teachers' ability made once a month, all the teachers are steadily improving their foreign language ability.
As a work to widely use modern educational methods in teaching, we induce the teachers to make and demonstrate multimedia programs with virtual reality technology or augmented reality technology. And we are promoting the work to widely generalize the highly estimated multimedia programs."
In this course, the qualifications of many teachers are improved, new teaching methods created and the students' ability increased.
