The U.S. is the Worst-Ever Human Rights Violator

The 48 th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council is being held since September 13. At Item 2 General Debate (update by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights of the report on the situation of human rights in the world) held on September 14, several countries including our country, China, Iran, Belarus, Syria, Venezuela and Bolivia delivered a joint statement exposing and denouncing the inveterate acts of human rights violation perpetrated by the U.S.

The statement noted that the U.S., disregarding the right to life and right to health of its people, while possessing the most advanced medical equipment and technologies, has seen the largest number of Covid-19 cases and death in the world. Instead of fighting the virus in full gear, the U.S. government is obsessed in political manipulation of issues like virus origin-tracing, with the purpose of shifting blames to other countries and shirking responsibility for its own failure.

Due to systemic racism and racial discrimination, which is rooted in the abhorrent slavery and slave trade in its history, Africans and people of African descendant, Asians and people of Asian descendant, Muslims and other minority groups continue to suffer harm and are plagued with human trafficking and forced labor. Under the pretext of so-called democracy and human rights, the U.S. interfered in other countries’ internal affairs and tried to impose its own values on others.

The statement stressed that imposing the American style democracy on others will only lead to chaos and turmoil and is doomed to failure. The crimes of killing civilians in Afghanistan by the U.S. troops and its allies must be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators must be held accountable.

All the above facts clearly show that the ringleader and main culprit of human rights violation who should be placed in the dock as a defendant is none other than the U.S., though it poses as “human rights judge”.
