A national sci-tech presentation of the welding field took place from October 12 to 15.
The presentation which was held under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea brought together lecturers, researchers, postgraduate students, field technicians and members of three-revolution teams from over 10 units including Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Architecture, Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, Pyongyang University of Transport and the welding research institute of the State Academy of Sciences.
Presented to the event held by way of videoconferencing were 60 papers showing the achievements made in research into new welding methods and in the efforts for domestic production of equipment and raw and other materials in the welding field.
During the presentation there was a lecture on the trend of development and prospect of laser welding technology.
