“Global Thunder 22” Invites Nuclear Cloud

Date: 17/11/2021 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

The U.S. Strategic Command has recently staged “Global Thunder 22”, a field drill designed for improved combat posture of its nuclear forces.

According to foreign media reports, this drill participated by the U.S. Strategic Command in coordination with other combatant commands, services, and some selected government agencies was focused on the movement of strategic bomber, ICBM and nuclear submarine called strategic nuclear triad.

The U.S. has been annually staging the drill “Global Thunder” since 2006, involving its Strategic Command, the military forces, and even its allies. And it conducted “Global Thunder 21” together with the UK and Australia last year in the face of global chaos caused by the outbreak of pandemic.

The latest American drill is apparently a nuclear war game targeting at the whole world, as it is conducted under the real battle conditions by setting a perceived enemy with the aim of acquiring global projection capability and improving a nuclear war posture together with its allies.

The U.S. is the only nuclear criminal state who used atomic bombs against humanity for the first time. The world people still vividly remember the devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Notwithstanding its ignominious past, the U.S., far from reflecting on this past, is incessantly increasing its nuclear arsenal and beefing up its nuclear war capability by insisting on nuclear-weapons-are-almighty sophistry.

The American attempts to improve combat preparedness of its strategic nuclear assets and speed up their modernization are a perilous move of subjecting the whole world to a theatre of new nuclear arms race and nuclear showdown, as it is a manifestation of its intention to take nuclear weapons as a pillar for realizing its world domination.

When cloud often gathers, rain is bound to fall. Nobody would dare to say that the annual American drill “Global Thunder” would not develop into a nuclear war.

The U.S. should immediately stop its reckless acts of inviting nuclear cloud.
