DPRK-Mongolia Friendship Which Will Last Forever

Date: 29/11/2021 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

The founding of the People’s Republic was proclaimed in Mongolia on November 26, 1924, ninety-seven years now.

On this occasion, we look back with deep emotion at the historical path of friendship which has long been formed and constantly improved between the DPRK and Mongolia in their joint efforts for building new societies.

The preceding leaders of both countries devoted so great efforts for defending and continuously advancing the cause of socialism.

President Kim Il Sung visited Mongolia two times and further consolidated the bilateral relations of friendship which had been formed in the struggle for anti-imperialism, independence and socialism.

The immortal feats established by great President Kim Il Sung through his visit to the vast territory of Mongolia continue to be handed over to the peoples of two countries over decades and generations.

President Kim Il Sung disturbed the Japanese aggression move to invade Mongolia at Nomonhan in 1930s by conducting military operation from the rear, and actively assisted the Mongolian people in their anti-Japanese struggle.

President Kim Il Sung recalled comrade Z. Sambu on every possible occasion who had worked in our country as diplomatic representative of Mongolia during the fierce Fatherland Liberation War, saying that we had taken measures for all diplomatic representatives from other countries to be evacuated to safe places, but comrade Z. Sambu had joined us with bag on his back in the attacks and during the retreat.

President Kim Il Sung also met with O. Cherma, who had long worked at the Korean war orphanage, and her daughter, and highly appreciated her contributions to the improved bilateral relations of friendship. He presented her with gift of benevolence and had a photograph taken with them.

Through these historical facts alone, we could realize that President Kim Il Sung is indeed the high embodiment of international obligations.

So much so that the Mongolian people highly praised President Kim Il Sung for his immortal feats performed in the joint efforts for anti-imperialism and peace and for the victory of cause of socialism as well as in the development of bilateral friendly relations, and they awarded him “Order of Sukhbaatar”, the highest order of the People’s Republic of Mongolia.

The feats of President Kim Il Sung , who, through his energetic external activities, developed the bilateral relations into a high stage of fraternal relations of mutual support and collaboration, remains a lasting foundation for improving DPRK-Mongolia friendly relations.

It is natural duty and obligation of the peoples of two countries to inherit and develop through generations the friendly and cooperative relations established by the preceding leaders.

We will continue to actively support the efforts of the Mongolian people for national stability and socio-economic progress and to develop the traditional friendship between the DPRK and Mongolia.
