Girl Fell Victim to Violent Culture

Date: 11/01/2022 | Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (EN) | Read original version at source

At the end of last year, there grew social uneasiness in the U.S. as the report of guns of killing people did not stop during Christmas and the New Year holiday.

On December 23, an incident broke out in one of the shops of Los Angeles in California where an innocent 14-year-old girl was shot dead by the bullet which the policeman fired at a criminal who was improperly assaulting several women there.

It was said that the girl was from Chile who was studying hard English to become a U.S. citizen.

After the incident, the victim’s family demanded a legal punishment on the murderer, giving vent to their anger that the U.S. police even deprived a little girl of her dream though they boast that they are the best in the world.

However, far from making an apology or compensation to the family, the police authority did not even admit their responsibility, saying that it was an involuntary and commonplace accident occurred during the execution of their duties.

The Chilean girl came to the U.S. harboring an illusion about the country, but fell victim to the violent culture. Local people expressed indignation to her death saying that they are confused as to whether the U.S. police are the “police to put down the criminals” or a “uniformed violence group” of killing  innocent people with reckless firing, and they lamented that this is the reason why the people remain hesitant to dial the police phone number 911 even though they are in peril.

On December 26, just after the Christmas Day, a dreadful incident happened in Texas where a 14-year-old boy opened the door of a shop and sprayed bullets with his revolver, killing 3 teenagers and putting 1 into a critical condition.

The lethal gun, which is shot at any time regardless of holiday, fully exposes the true nature of the American-style “liberal democracy” which claims the lives of the innocent people.
