Officials and members of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea held a meeting to pledge to thoroughly implement the decisions made at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea at the plaza of the Arch of Triumph on January 13.
Present there were Min Sung Chol, deputy department director of the WPK Central Committee, officials concerned, women’s union officials and members in the capital city of Pyongyang.
She said the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee, at the proposal of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the WPK, extended thanks in the name of the Party Central Committee to the exemplary agricultural officials, workers, scientists and technicians who made a tangible contribution to doing farming well last year.
She stressed that the General Secretary, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, highly praised all the Party members and other working people across the country and service personnel of the People’s Army for making indomitable and strenuous efforts to glorify last year as a year of proud victory to be specially recorded in the history of socialist construction, and sent warm greetings to them.
Nothing that they would surely emerge victorious as there is the wise leadership of the Party Central Committee, she ardently called on all officials and members of the SWUK to render active services to glorify this significant year as a great watershed in developing the revolution by displaying extraordinary working ability, enthusiasm and devotion.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted there.
After the meeting, women’s union members in the city waged intensive publicity activities.
