Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, gave a statement to media on the 4th.

The statement said.

The south Korean Defence Minister revealed his extreme uneasiness on the 1st, talking about "preemptive strike" on our army's means of striking south Korea. So Uk's dreadful fear was clearly revealed by his bluff.

It was a serious mistake, however, that he, professing himself to be representing the army, insisted on the so-called preemptive strike, calling us an enemy. We already clarified that south Korea is not our principal enemy.

In other words, the south Korean army will not be a target of our attack unless it takes any military action against our state. If the armies of both sides fight each other, the whole of the Korean nation will suffer disasters more horrible than it suffered half a century ago, apart from who wins and who loses in the war or battle.

We definitely oppose war. That is why, Marshal Kim Jong Un already clarified that our principal enemy is a war itself.

It is a very dangerous and sinister manifestation that the south Korean army spat out the possibility of preemptive strike on us under any pretext, branding us as an enemy.

We don't strike anyone by any means, if it does not attack us. But the situation will change if south Korea takes such a military action as "preemptive strike" manifested by So Uk on any ground or by any misjudgement.

It is as good as south Korea becomes the target of attack by itself. We seriously warned two days ago that south Korea would suffer terrible disaster unimaginable by far, if its army violates even an inch of our land.

In case south Korea adopts military confrontation against us, our nuclear combat forces are inevitably obliged to carry out its mission. If the situation develops to such an extent, terrible attack would be mounted and the south Korean army would have no other choice but to suffer tragic lot of extermination.

It is not a threat. It is a detailed explanation on our counteraction against possible reckless military action of south Korea and its consequences as well as the reason why south Korea must refrain from military daydream against a nuclear state.

There isn't by no means a way to avoid horrible disaster. If south Korea does not provoke us and harbour a preposterous daydream but thinks about how to avoid the shells we fired, possibly not of course, it will be able to escape the disaster mentioned above.

"Preemptive strike" on a nuclear state is a wild dream. We definitely clarify once again that we won't fire any single shot at south Korea as we do not regard it as the opponent of our armed forces.

It is not because we compare the military strength of south Korea with us, a nuclear state, but because both are the same nation that must not fight. I hope an abnormal disorder worrying about safety without any ground would recover as soon as possible, the statement added.
