Medics of the Korean People's Army (KPA) have waged a devoted struggle for fully discharging their mission as true servants of the people, their sons and daughters and defenders of their happiness for ten days and ten nights since they buckled down to the anti-epidemic campaign at lightning speed to devotedly protect the security of the capital city and the lives and health of its citizens, on the combat order full of great trust and expectations of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

To cope with the grave situation, caused by the inroads of the malicious pandemic virus into the country, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un convened in succession important Party meetings including a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). And he has guided the maximum emergency anti-epidemic campaign involving the entire Party, the whole country and all the people in its van.

At a Politburo consultative meeting of the Party Central Committee held again on May 15, he issued a special order of the WPK Central Military Commission on rapidly dispatching medics of the People's Army to the emergency anti-epidemic front of the capital city to stabilize the supply of medicines in Pyongyang City at once and make a decisive turn in the overall anti-epidemic situation.

The KPA committee of the WPK opened an immediate enlarged meeting of its executive committee and took revolutionary and dynamic measures for inspiring the KPA medics to the implementation of the special order.

The KPA medics launched the supply of medicines right after holding an oath-taking meeting in which they received the red certificates of dispatch bearing the emblem of the WPK.

The commanding group of the Ministry of National Defence has organized meticulous operations and provided scrupulous guidance to steer the anti-epidemic campaign in the capital city.

It carried out a re-survey to get correct locations of the pharmacies in every district and set up 50-odd new temporary mobile medicine stands in liaison with officials of the Party and government organs in order to convey the medicines carrying benevolence of the Party to capital citizens more quickly and correctly.

It took timely and practical measures to meet the demands of the citizens and fully ensure their convenience.

The military medics have preserved the precious medicines with much care and proactively supplied them to citizens on the basis of detailed information about every residential area, household and individual, as required by the ever-changing anti-epidemic situation. They not only helped the visitors to pharmacies but also dedicated themselves to curing patients at home.

They have taken the lead in the anti-epidemic campaign by supplying medicines, treating patients and teaching folk remedies and Koryo therapies for curing aftereffects at the industrial establishments in operation and at households in 11 districts of the city.

Their devoted struggle made a great contribution to raising the awareness of the crisis and the epidemic prevention among the inhabitants in the areas under their charge and making them surely ensure their voluntary unity in thinking and action.

The trucks deployed at more than 670 posts have carried necessary medicines in time.

Highly displayed at every post every day are the beautiful traits of the medics doing good deeds for the people as befits the ones dispatched by the Party Central Committee.

Citizens in the capital city are praising the military medics who turned out in the campaign for eliminating the malignant virus to uphold the intention of the Party Central Committee.

The ten days and ten nights on the emergency anti-epidemic front in the capital city were the days and nights of ardent loyalty displayed by the revolutionary army of the Party which has dedicated itself to upholding the ardent request of the Party Central Committee for devotedly protecting the lives and safety of the people and to fulfilling the demands of the revolution for making strenuous efforts to relieve the country of its heavy burden. The days and nights also witnessed the praiseworthy feats of the revolutionary medics in the great era of Kim Jong Un.
