Our people have greeted a historic moment of proudly reviewing the days of anti-epidemic war within 90-odd days after the malignant virus flew into our country.

At the national meeting of reviewing emergency anti-epidemic work held on August 10, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , on behalf of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the government of our Republic, proclaimed the victory in the top-level emergency anti-epidemic war to wipe out novel corona virus which flowed into the territory of our Republic and to defend life and health of our people.

At this moment, our people, full of pride of being victors, are recollecting with deep emotions the immortal exploits of the respected General Secretary who took the lead in the anti-epidemic warfare when everyone was at a loss what to do before the first-ever crisis in our country as well as his noble world of dedication to people.

Our country stemmed the inflow of the malignant virus for 2 years and 3 months in the midst of the global health crisis, thus, setting the longest record of zero case in the anti-epidemic history. It also restored stability in the anti-epidemic work in a short period of 90-odd days. These are a miracle noteworthy in the world’s healthcare history.

That miracle is the fruit of wise leadership of the respected General Secretary, who, with a clear insight into the danger and possible consequences of the health crisis, regarded the anti-epidemic work as a war with malignant virus and gave it a top priority among other state affairs. He took measures for pre-emptive quarantine and intensive anti-epidemic work unknown to the world.

Our people know better than anybody else about how the current victory was won and who brought the miracle and great event of today. But how many people would know about this fact? Our Marshal, even suffering from a high fever, could not lie in the bed even for a moment thinking about people he should take care to the end. And how many people, if any, were anxious to ease the heavy burdens on his shoulder?

Today’s victory is unthinkable apart from the warm love and self-sacrificing devotion for the country and people by the respected General Secretary who is all too ready to protect our people at any cost even staking his own life, casting in his lot with people.

The world has not seen such a state leader as our Marshal, who visited the anti-epidemic battle fields and provided detailed information about treatment measures and methods, being the general commander of anti-epidemic general offensive. He is the only leader of people in the world who gives back to the people all the achievements of the great victory in the anti-epidemic work.

Declaring the victory in the anti-epidemic general offensive, he expressed his firm determination to make strenuous efforts to ensure safety and happiness of people at the risk of his life. Looking up to the benevolent image of the respected General Secretary, our people implanted the philosophical principle deep into their hearts;

We cannot survive from the moment when we are separated from his embrace. As long as the General Secretary leads us, we are not afraid of war against malignant virus nor any trial and ordeal, but will always win a victory. This is our steadfast faith.
