According to data available, over 4,040 young people have volunteered to work in the major sectors of socialist construction and schools in mountainous villages since the 4th plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Working youths in South Hwanghae Province volunteered to work at farms and stockbreeding bases with the enthusiasm for being the standard-bearers in the struggle to achieve the radical development of the socialist countryside.
620-odd young people from Haeju City, Kangryong, Anak, Sinwon, Unchon and other counties in the province volunteered to work at socialist farms with ardent pledge to translate the programme for socialist rural construction of our Party into practice by following the spiritual world displayed by hero farmers and patriotic farmers in the different annals of the revolution.
The enthusiasm for volunteering was also great among the young people in North Phyongan, South Phyongan, North Hamgyong and North Hwanghae provinces.
The trustworthy and proud youth league officials stand in the van of those young people.
Among them are Han Chun Gwang who worked as the official of the youth league committee of the Anju Area Coal Mining Complex and Choe Chol who worked as the Korean Children’s Union instructor of the Jukgun Senior Middle School in Kosan County.
And also many young people in other places volunteered to work in difficult and challenging sectors of the national economy upholding the decision of the 5th plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK.
Their deeds are manifestation of the noble view on life and future of the young people in our era who find the honor and worth of youth on the road of upholding the Party and for the revolution.
