A national exhibition and presentation of sci-tech achievements in the field of forestry took place in the DPRK on November 10-24 under the sponsorship of the Korean Forest Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The exhibition and presentation on the theme of "Putting forest planting and management on a scientific basis" examined and discussed one hundred and tens of papers explaining the successes and experience gained in putting the forest planting and conservation on a scientific basis and the ways for doing so.
More than 40 proposals including the anti-root-drying agent using green insam (ginseng) and Kumdanghwa and the decision-aid system for making gold mountains were highly appreciated.
There was a symposium on the scientific management of forests in the Samjiyon area.
