Dozens of units in Kangwon Province of the DPRK have won the title of socialist patriotic forest this year, through a dynamic mass movement for forest restoration.
Munchon City created more fields of pine-nut trees, expanded the area of wild fruit trees and directed efforts to monitoring forest fire, while manuring and tending the planted trees in a responsible manner.
Thongchon County planted trees of economic value including pine-nut and chestnut trees and created forests in conformity with scientific and technological requirements.
Officials and working people in Wonsan City and other areas of the province have planted and tended many trees of good species with patriotic mind.
The province pushes ahead with the work for making more units win the title of socialist patriotic forest next year.
