Patients and their families kindly call Kang Un Nam, a gynecologist of South Hamgyong Provincal Maternity Hospital, "our doctor".

She prepared various foods for patients on holidays and also gave new shoes to a patient who was able to walk again.

A few days ago, she operated on an emergency case from a county and sat up several nights with the patient.

When the patients worried about her family saying who would take care of her husband and children if she didn’t go home for such a long time, she said with a smile that the treatment of patients was her mission.

Afterwards, they came to know the fact that she was a respectable woman who has devoted all to the work for society and collective.

"Our doctor", it was, indeed, an affectionate call of people for genuine medical workers of our era who work and live with sincere love and feelings for human being.

Emotion of a Woman

On December 11 last year some officials, teachers and students of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering visited the home of Son Yong Suk residing in Thongilgori-dong No.1, Rangnang District.

Son Yong Suk is an aunt of Ji Hyok, a student of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering.

In fact, the officials, teachers and students of the university have paid deep attention to the study and life of Ji Hyok who lost his parents and lived with his aunt. They have provided him with school things and daily necessities and made efforts to solve problems arising in his life.

Thanks to the warm love and affection of teachers and students Ji Hyok has never lived in gloom.

That day was a birthday of Ji Hyok. So, officials, teachers and students visited his house and handed him over the gifts to congratulate his birthday.

Son Yong Suk was so impressed by them and expressed his genuine feelings that our socialist system was the best and they could not live outside the embrace of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

Officials Who Visit Skilled Worker’s Family

In the morning of the New Year’s Day, officials of the Anju Railway Chemical Factory visited the family of a worker Hyon Tong Son.

They have paid deep concern about his life saying that he is a worker inventor and an indispensable man for the factory.

After exchanging greetings, the officials asked his living conditions in detail and repeatedly requested that healthcare is more important than anything else for him to play the leading role in technical innovation of the factory.

Although they had many places to visit and many people to see on the occasion of the New Year’s Day, they called on an ordinary employee of the factory.

In the past, too, they devoted their sincerity to the employees of the factory.

When children of employees came home on honor furlough from the army, they organized congratulatory meetings for them, and they also solved all the problems rising in the employees’ family life.
