One March day in Juche 103 (2014), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Okryu Children’s Hospital.
After exchanging greetings with its managing staff, he learned about the matters arising in the operation of the hospital and took relevant measures.
Then he earnestly asked its medical workers as follows:
We should take good care of children, the future of the country. We should not only intensify preventive treatment lest they fall ill but cure sick children well so that all of them grow up healthily into the pillars of the country.
His request still remains etched in the minds of the Korean people.
In November several years ago, he visited a children’s foodstuff factory which had been updated into a model of modernization in the country.
He said: If we regularly provide children with nutritive foodstuffs, their laughter will resound more loudly. And our people will be optimistic about the victory of socialism hearing their happy laughter.
Then he earnestly asked the officials and employees of the factory to produce and supply more foodstuffs to keep children laughing.
