The proud course the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has covered is adorned with the feats of mothers who dedicated their all for the sacred cause of the country and nation, linking their destiny with that of their country.

It is a source of pride and might of the country to have an organization of such mothers (Socialist Women’s Union of Korea), who place state affairs above those of their families and push forward one of the two wheels of the revolution.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said: The Women’s Union can be called an organization of mothers who lead the rising generation, the future of the revolution, to communist society; by preparing their members to be supporters of our Party, genuine revolutionaries equipped with ennobling spiritual and moral traits, its organizations should intensify education of their members so that they can bring up their children as a reserve force of the revolution.

Since there is a good mother behind a good man, the growth of children heavily depends on the role of the women, who are their mothers.

Fully conscious that educating their children properly is not merely a matter of preserving the lifeblood of their families but a noble revolutionary undertaking to bring them up to be successors who would shoulder the future of the revolution, members of the Women’s Union are preparing them to be reliable successors to the revolution and talents of the country.

Let us become supporters of our Party and communist mothers who lead the new generation, the pillars of our revolution, to communist society–this is a creed they have cherished.

We are directing our efforts into encouraging the union members to give birth to many children, pay attention to their growth and development and glorify their genuine life in the places demanded by the times.

The members are striving to transform themselves into communists, who take a lion’s share in socialist construction.

They are conducting various kinds of information activities in the important units and production sites of socialist construction, and are turning out in do-good-things movement to contribute to the building of a prosperous country by dint of our sincere sweats and efforts.

When difficulties were created in the living of the people as everything was locked down during the highest-level emergency anti-epidemic system in May last year, many members shared even a dose of medicine and subsidiary foodstuffs with the families in need.

We are making sure that they care for their parents-in-law and support their husbands and children, always mindful of their responsibilities as homemaker, daughter-in-law, wife and mother, so that they discharge with credit the duties they have assumed before the state and society.

The healthy development of the society is unthinkable separated from the role of the women in assisting their husbands in being faithful supporters of the Party and revolution, bringing up their children as reliable pillars of socialist Korea, and keeping their families amicable and harmonious.

The advance speed of our socialist country will be accelerated when we women fulfill our duties and tasks.
