The Kangso Mineral Water Bottling Factory in the DPRK specializes in the production of the Kangso mineral water which contributes to the promotion of the people’s health.
The Kangso mineral water, put on the national natural monument list, is acknowledged as purely natural water or ideal green drink. It is efficacious in treating chronic gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer, sequelae of stomach surgery, chronic enterocolitis, arteriosclerosis, obesity, ovarian dysfunction, urolithiasis, and autonomic imbalance.
The factory operates a bathhouse by using the mineral water.
The bathhouse has bathrooms for men and women on the first floor, and a fitness room and a restaurant on the second floor.
Having a bath for about 15 minutes with the mineral water heated up to 39℃ allows the body to absorb free carbonic acid through the skin to treat different diseases. Effects are further palpable when accompanied by colonic irrigation and drinking of the mineral water.
The reaction varies according to symptoms, but the effects mostly begin to occur in a few days.
Kim Jong Sil living in Central District, Pyongyang, said that she was suffering from high blood pressure and severe gastric disorder and arthritis until recently, and her troubles were considerably mitigated after she received treatment at the bathhouse for three weeks.
In the fitness room, people enjoy themselves taking exercises.
Not far from the bathhouse is a well where they can drink the metallic and fresh mineral water gushing out without interruption.
The bathhouse is visited by many people from Pyongyang, Nampho, Hamhung, Hyesan, Sinuiju and elsewhere.
It lies beside the tourist road to the Three Tombs of Kangso, a famous historical site on the world heritage list.
