Living in Kyongru-dong, a luxury residential district of the capital Pyongyang, are labour innovators, meritorious persons, scientists, educators, writers and other working people in all fields who are working for the state with devotion.
Originally, in the district there was a mansion used for a long time by the great leader Kim Il Sung, the founder of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
On March 25, Juche 110(2021), a news was reported to the surprise of the whole country.
It was the news that a modern and peculiar riverside terraced residential district of new type would be built on the bank of the Pothong River flowing through the heart of the capital.
The Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District was built in a short span of time amid the expectation and concern of many people.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un proposed building the residential district and came out to the spot for meticulous guidance five times when it was under construction.
On April 2, Juche 111(2022), he looked round the wonderful residential district and the inside of flats and warmly said: There are no dishoused families in this area. If there is any that was evacuated, it is only the mansion of Kim Il Sung. It is as good as that he built luxury houses at the site of his residence and handed them over to his children.
Kyongru-dong at the historic site on the bank of the picturesque Pothong River is a precious crystallization of the noble love for the people of Kim Jong Un deifying them.
