The socialist labor law of our country reflects the aspirations and demands of the working people for the independent and creative life of labor. It also runs through with the spirit of actively defending the right and interests of the working people and faithfully serving them.

Every country has their labor laws respectively, however, none of them except our socialist labor law truly and brilliantly reflects the labor life of working people.

For humane being, the rights for labor is one of the most important social rights. If a person is deprived of his right for labor, he is not different from being deprived of his right for survival and he cannot enjoy the creative life of labor.

The DPRK Socialist Labor Law stipulates that all the working people under socialism have right to labor, all of them can choose their occupations and professions respectively according to their hopes and talents and are provided by the state with stable jobs and working conditions.

In our country, all the people are respectively able to choose their occupations and professions according to their hopes and talents, and the state assigns the working people to right jobs appropriate to the sex, age, health and physical constitution, hope and aptitude in order for them to display their ability to the full and provides them with working conditions to let them work to the best of their ability.

Every able-bodied working people are provided with the substantial right to labor and unemployment is a word unknown in our society. This is the genuine feature of our-style socialist society which regards the people as the most valuable being.

The DPRK Socialist Labor Law stipulates the labor life of working people on the principle of combining the labor and study.

The DPRK Socialist Law stipulates that to enhance the working people’s overall levels of culture and skill is the firm guarantee to speed up the socialist construction and bring up the working people into competent socialist and communist builders, and that the state provides every condition on a full scale for the working people to study while working by the advanced educational system and popular educational policies.

In our country, wherever the working people are, the condition of studying while working is provided. Bases for learning, like factory and farm colleges are established in every part of the country and the study-while-you-work system is operated.

People of ability equipped with modern science and technology who acquired the technology and skill of their own sector to the best are trained in the bases, thus contributing to the socialist construction while giving full play to the skills and talents in the labor life.

In addition, the Socialist Labor Law clearly stipulates in general the principles and demands which should be maintained in the socialist life of labor including the right to be paid for according to the quantity and quality of work done and the right to enjoy benefits from the material guarantee in all cases of disability.

Indeed, the Socialist Labor Law of our country is the most advantageous labor charter which brightly illumines the way of genuine labor life for the working people.
