China Slams the U.S. for Double Standard in Human Rights Issue

Recently, the FBI released the data that the number of hatred crimes has increased to 9,065 in 2021 from 8,120 in 2020 and that 64.5% of the victims are becoming targets of crimes for racial or ethnical reason. Concerning this, the spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry commented as follows:

The ever-worsening hate crime is only the tip of iceberg among the systematic racism and human rights issue in the United States.

The U.S. is asserting that “Everyone is born to be equal”. But in reality, it is still rife with white supremacy and xenophobia even today. And native Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, Latinos, Islamic Americans and descendants of other ethnic minorities have long been subjected to general and systematic discrimination.

The U.S sees its human rights issue through a “telescope”, but for other countries, it sees their human right situation through a “magnifier” and finds fault with them. And it is applying double standard to their human rights issues without any hesitation.

In conclusion, the spokesperson emphasized that the U.S. government should immediately get down to solving its own human rights issues including racial discrimination, hate crime, guns-related violence and drug-related crime which are growing more serious day by day at home, rather than masquerading itself as a “human rights judge” and making such empty words that so-called “human rights” should be respected and protected.
