Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea made public the following stand through the Korean Central News Agency on April 28.

The recent visit to Washington by the south Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has become an occasion in enabling us to have a clearer understanding of the source threatening peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the region and its entity.

On the 26th, the United States and the south Korean rulers made public so-called "Washington Declaration" representing a plan to raise the ability of executing the "extended deterrence" after a summit meeting, stipulating their option and will of action toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The "Washington Declaration" made by the United States and the south Korean rulers is a product of the vicious hostile policy toward the DPRK which reflected the most antagonistic and aggressive will of action. It will bring about a result of exposing the peace and security of northeast Asia and the rest of the world to a more serious danger and so it is an act which can never be welcomed.

The military and political situation of the region cannot get rid of the unstable current due to the formation of a "nuclear consultation group", the regular and sustained deployment of the US nuclear strategic assets and frequent military drills. It compelled us to take a more decisive action corresponding to a new environment of security.

Another fact we cannot but demand an account for and remain indifferent to is that the man with the prerogative of supreme command in the enemy country openly and directly used the expression of "end of government" in the face of the whole world.

Then, is it dotage of the old?

Of course, it may be called a nonsense of the old without future who will not be responsible for the security and prospect of the United States at all and considers it to be burdensome to stand only two years of his term of office in the future.

However, the fact that the expression was used by the President himself of our enemy state--the United States--most hostile toward us, is a rhetoric threat we can never tolerate, which necessitates quite enormous an aftereffect.

Out of the overconfidence in strength, he was too brave to calculate and be responsible.

This time we have been able to reconfirm the clear antagonistic plot of the rulers and military warmongers in Washington and Seoul against our state which cannot be construed otherwise. It gave us a clear answer what we should do in the future and for what we have to be thoroughly prepared.

The prevailing situation is very serious.

This time, too, Yoon Suk Yeol made clear that he would further strengthen the "south Korea"-US joint exercises and drills, clamouring that he would take the ability to cope with us overwhelmingly and the posture of punishment including the "three-axis system of south Korean style".

Of course, it is difficult to clearly understand the way of thinking  of the foolish Yoon Suk Yeol who is very grateful for the United States which gave the "declaration" as good as an empty word, saying he "fully trusts its firm commitment of extended deterrence". We will wait and see how bold he is and where he goes with its incompetence, though he has put the security in danger.

The wild dream of the United States and south Korea will face an entity of more powerful strength in the future.

We have been sure once again of the fact that we should raise the nuclear war deterrent and be more perfect for its second duty in particular.

We clearly know what we should do.

Since the enemy get frantic in their nuclear war exercises and deploy more nuclear strategic assets in the region of the Korean peninsula, our exercise of the right of self-defence will increase in direct proportion to it.
