The anti-air combat and air raid drillsof flying corps under the Guards 1st AirWing were staged on May 15 amid combat trainings at all levels of the Korean People's Army being organized and conducted to improve the whole army’soverwhelming capability for countering a war true to the spirit of the EleventhPlenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’Party of Korea.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, guided the drills.
The drills were aimed at making the flying corps, anti-air missile sub-units,radar sub-units and electronic warfare sub-units experienced in the anti-airmission to detect, track and destroy the enemy cruise missiles and suicidaldrones attacking from different directions and in the combat mission to makethe enemy drones blind and destroy them with different electronic means.
That day, there also took place an application test of new-type long-range precisionguided glide bomb, a drill of flying corps’raid on targets, a drillof destroying enemy drones with helicopter and flying corps’precision bombing of naval targets, and a demonstration flight of strategicreconnaissance drones and multi-mission drones.
Kim Jong Un expressed satisfaction overthe fact that the pilots proved the combat reliability of the Air Force with practical manoeuvrings and set an example in rounding off the war preparations.
Saying that victory in war is decided first on the training ground and thatwhen all the service personnel devote themselves to combat and politicaltraining with the noble sense of mission of defending the country, the sky, land and sea of our country will be consolidated as an impregnable fortress no enemy would dare attack, he calledupon all the units of the entire army to bring about a radical turn in makingpreparations for war in constant readiness while remaining on full alert.
Under his wise leadership, the combat capability of the Air Force is increasing all the more day after day.
