The work to widely introduce the residents’ healthcare information system as scheduled this year goes full steam ahead across the country.
The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea stressed the need to introduce systems and methods for rendering medical services such as diagnosis, treatment and promotion of the people’s health in a more rational, effective and advanced way and provide conditions to this end.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Health and relevant areas conducted the work to raise the IT-level of medical services by introducing the residents’ healthcare information system while renovating hospitals in ris and polyclinics as befit the medical service centres this year, too, in the wake of last year.
Rason City provided a guarantee for finishing the work to introduce the system into hospitals in Sinhae-dong in Rajin District and Uam-dong in Sonbong District and other units as planned this year.
South Phyongan Province and Nampho City stand in the vanguard of the country in introducing the above-mentioned system by promoting the work to complete medical service systems, means and methods based on advanced medical techniques and modern medical equipment in the medical service units in the countryside.
