On August 10, Juche 104(2015), the women footballers of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea arrived at the Pyongyang International Airport after winning the 2015 EAFF East Asia Cup.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un came to the airport to greet the women footballers. He had watched the whole process of the matches and sent a congratulatory message to them.
Shaking hands with each of them, he warmly congratulated them and had a photo taken with them.
He warmly congratulated them once again in the name of the Party, the government and the entire people and gave his thanks to them.
The streets of the capital wrapped in a festive mood were crowded with hundreds of thousands of people standing to welcome the women footballers who glorified the country.
A state banquet was given and the Pyongyang City mass rally held in honour of the women footballers and official commendations awarded to those players and coaches. Like this, national functions and meetings were held for several days.
Amid a special concern of Kim Jong Un, the women footballers were highly respected as victorious generals who demonstrated the dignity and might of the DPRK.
When they won the previous tournament, Kim Jong Un had met them, spoken highly of them and done them a great favour.
His love was the main source that enabled them to win victory after victory in every match.
The DPRK women footballers took the first place in 2017 again in the wake of 2013 and 2015 and thus could win three successive victories in the EAFF East Asia Cup.
