Create Example of Modernization

One July day in Juche 104(2015), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Vegetable Science Institute.

While looking round various places of the institute to learn in detail about the conditions of the scientific research and production of vegetables, he gave valuable instructions to be carried out by the institute saying that the institute assumed a very important duty.

It was when he went round its computer control room.

Being informed about the operation of the control room, he refered to the main link to be adhered to in production of greenhouse vegetables and pointed out that recently, the officials of the institute did not put the vegetable production on a sci-tech basis in order to increase its harvest per hectare.

Listening to him, the officials felt remorse.

After a while, the General Secretary stressed that the institute should create an example of modernization in the production of greenhouse vegetables to generalize it throughout the country, with sci-tech guidance on vegetable greenhouse across the country, giving a great trust to it.

Looking up to the General Secretary, that day the officials made a firm determination to hasten the production of greenhouse vegetables on a modern and scientific basis of higher level.

Mass Technical Innovation Drive He stressed

It was one May day in Juche 106(2017) when the General Secretary visited an exhibition.

Displayed there were hundreds of kinds of utensils and tools and finishing building materials made by the construction units and building materials producers of the Korean People’s Army and many scientific and technological achievements.

Going round the exhibition, the General Secretary said that it was an uncommon scenery in the golden age of construction and a great revolution has been brought out in the construction, expressing great pleasure.

And those exhibits were suited to the constitution of our people and were easy to handle, he said, adding that the masses have inexhaustible power and wisdom and can make anything if they have a will.

He stressed the need to vigorously wage the mass technical innovation drive for making Korean-style utensils and finishing building materials in plenty.

And he noted full of confidence that as the powerful industrial foundation was laid in our country, the vigorous mass technical innovation movement and greater role of the officials, scientists and technicians enable us to produce efficient utensils and quality finishing building materials as many as we wanted.

Reflected in his instructions was deep meaning that all the sectors and units as well as the KPA building sector should briskly wage the mass technical innovation drive, holding fast to science and technology as a precious sword, so as to bring about the qualitative progress in developing the country’s economy and improving the people’s standard of living.
