Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of different sectors of the national economy.
He visited farms in different regions including Anju City and Taedong County of South Phyongan Province, and Unjon and Kwaksan Counties of North Phyongan Province to acquaint himself with the immediate farming in detail, and touched on ways to carry out the grain production plan for this year.
At the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex he stressed the need to wage a vigorous struggle for increased production and thus send more fertilizer to the farms.
Looking round the Taean Friendship Glass Factory and the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, he underscored the need to direct efforts to the technical innovations for steadily improving the quality of products and producing a larger amount of various functional glass, hasten the production of ordered equipment and conduct the business activities in a scientific way.
Relevant measures were taken at the consultative meetings held on the spot.
