The embassy of the People's Republic of China (PRC) resident in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) hosted a reception on September 28 on the occasion of the 74 th founding anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.
Invited to the reception were Kang Yun Sok, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Mun Song Hyok, Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Pak Myong Ho, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Kyong Il, Vice-Chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who is the Chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned and diplomatic envoys and staff members of foreign embassies in the DPRK.
Present there were Wang Yajun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to the DPRK, staff members of his embassy and Chinese guests staying in the DPRK.
In his speech made at the reception, the Ambassador stressed that it is the firm policy of the Chinese Party and government to safeguard, consolidate and develop the China-DPRK relations successfully.
He sincerely wished the DPRK people fresh and greater successes in the building of a socialist power by thoroughly implementing the resolutions set forth at the 8 th Congress of the WPK and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee under the leadership of the WPK headed by respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the WPK.
Kang Yun Sok said in his speech that the Chinese people have brought about world-startling development and changes on the land of China while overcoming all sorts of challenges and difficulties, rallied firmly around the Communist Party of China, since the birth of new China.
He expressed the will to strive together with the Chinese comrades to develop in depth the traditional DPRK-China friendly relations, true to the noble intention of the supreme leaders of the two Parties and the two countries and the common desire of the two peoples.
