The village of Tapsang Farm in Unsan County, North Phyongan Province of the DPRK, has undergone an amazing change.
Single- and low- storied dwelling houses and terraced houses were built along the rolling hills of the village and trees of good species were planted around the houses. There is a collective animal barn, a wonderful water park and a resting place in the village furnished with a solar-powered lighting system.
A ceremony for moving into new houses was held on Dec. 5.
Present there were Mun Kyong Dok, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, builders and the owners of the dwelling houses.
Ri Yong Chol, chairman of the provincial people’s committee, made a congratulatory speech.
Housewarming parties began amid the display of merry peasant dances and officials visited the new houses to share happiness with agricultural workers.
