Through All-People Patriotic Movement

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has advanced by dint of the all-people patriotic movement for 75 years.

The Korean people conducted the general ideological mobilization movement for nation building and the emulation drives for increased production after national liberation to lay a firm foundation of democracy, and mass patriotic movements including the "My Hill" movement, the weapons fund donation movement and the plowwoman movement during the Fatherland Liberation War in the 1950s, making a contribution to winning a great victory in the war.

Between the late 1950s and the 1960s, they conducted the Chollima Movement of displaying collective heroism of one for all and all for one. (Chollima means a legendary horse running 400 kilometres a day.) Through the movement, the Korean people built a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The tradition of the all-people patriotic movement has been firmly carried forward generation after generation.

The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held at the end of last year stressed the need to actively conduct the socialist patriotic movement, a revolutionary mass movement which is the powerful force for promoting the national prosperity and development.

More and more young people volunteer to work in the difficult and challenging sectors out of patriotism, leaving their beloved hometowns.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un highly praised them, saying their deeds are as heroic as going to the front line at wartime and blocking the gun muzzles of enemypillboxes with their chests unhesitatingly.

The Coal Mine for Jagang Province under the Kaechon Area Coal-Mining Complex launched the socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production and many other units rose up in the socialist patriotic movement to follow its example.

As a result, new records and new standards are created in all sectors and at all units.

The members of the Children's Union also conducted a do-good-thing movement to donate multiple launch rocket systems named after "Sonyon" (Children) to the People's Army.

The DPRK is advancing vigorously thanks to the patriotic movement of the entire people supporting the development of the state with all their love and sincerity.
