February 16 this year is a meaningful day marking the 82 nd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il .

Whenever we greet this day, our people and the world progressive people look back with deep emotion on the sacred life of the Chairman who made immortal contributions to the prosperity of the country, happiness of the people and to accomplishing the cause of global independence with his remarkable ideological and theoretical wisdom and outstanding leadership.

The endless devotion of Chairman Kim Jong Il , who cared so much for the great happiness of our people, is also permeated in the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm- the well-known leading fruit production base.

He saw to it that a modern combined fruit farm was built on the outskirts of the city to sufficiently provide citizens with fruits. The Chairman clarified all the matters arising in the construction. While visiting the completed farm in November 2009, the Chairman inquired about details of the construction and gave teachings on the normalization of production.

He visited the farm again on June 6, 2010 and put forth detailed plans and methods for rapidly expanding fruit production. In July next year, he looked around the completed Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm and comprehensive fruit processing base and was more pleased than anyone else saying that they could make a great contribution to the improvement of people's livelihood.

Like this, Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm, the large-scale fruit production base of our country, is priceless fruition brought by his warm love for people.

Therefore, foreign friends opened their hearts saying that they came to know better about Chairman Kim Jong Il who spares nothing for people after their visit to the farm while hardly refraining from expressing their admiration for the scale and output of the farm.

Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm, where his exploits of love for people are clearly inscribed, came to be further modernized today as the world’s leading orchard with bountiful harvests and as the orchard for people thanks to wise leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .

Now, tens of thousands tons of fruits produced here are supplied to the citizens, children in baby homes and children’s homes as well as to those in old people’s homes every year.

Today all workers here, true to the noble intention of Chairman Kim Jong Il , strive to produce a lot of fruits with their resolve to bring to reality the politics of love for people of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who always pays deep attention to provide our people with delicious and nutritious fruits.
