50th Founding Anniversary of Songchongang Unha Garment Factory Marked in DPRK

The Songchongang Unha Garment Factory in the DPRK marked its 50th founding anniversary.
Over the past 50 years since its foundation, the factory has covered a proud course of development as a comprehensive garment producer conducive to improving the people’s living standard under the great loving care and trust of the peerlessly great men.
President Kim Il Sung paid deep attention to the construction of the factory and gave detailed instructions on its operation and management.
In September Juche 88 (1999), Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the factory and showed deep trust and warm love for its workers and technicians so that they could take the lead in implementing the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policies.
True to the noble intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is making devoted efforts for the development of the country’s light industry, employees of the factory have made innovative successes in the production of consumer goods.
In the days of efforts for implementing the Party’s policy on light industry, the factory won a joint rotating pennant and a citation, the Twice Three-Revolution Red Flag, the Twice Lathe No.26 Model Machine Prize.
A meeting took place on Feb. 20 to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the factory.
Ryu Kum Son, manager of the factory, made a report at the meeting attended by officials concerned and the employees of the factory.
