On February 5, the Leader of the Iran Islamic Revolution held a meeting with a large number of commanders and staff members from Iran’s Air Force. At the meeting, he called on the elite in the Islamic nations to exert pressure on their governments and persuade them to cut economic relations with Israel and widely wage a movement against the Zionist regime which is resorting to destructive acts in the Gaza Strip.

Correctly exposing the truth behind the conspiracy between the Zionist regime and the U.S. is an important issue for the Islamic world in fighting together against the oppressors, he stressed.

Addressing a massive demonstration in celebration of the 45 th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11, the President of Iran said that all countries should cut off all economic relations and interaction with Israel. He proposed to expel the Zionist regime from the UN and other international organizations, pointing to the Israeli regime’s breach of international conventions and laws. He continued to stress that the U.S. and the West should listen to the voices of denunciation coming from the world peoples and put an immediate stop to Israel’s bombings on the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministers of Iran and Saudi Arabia had a telephone conversation on February 16 during which the Iranian foreign minister proposed the idea of holding an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation foreign ministers to address the crimes of Israel. He stressed that if a political solution is not found immediately for ending Israeli atrocities, the negative consequences for regional security and stability will be inevitable.
