Russia’s Stern Warning to France for Attempt to Dispatch Troops to Ukraine

Amidst the ever-aggravating politico-military confrontation between Russia, the U.S. and the West in juncture with the Ukrainian crisis, Russia has recently questioned France’s attempt to dispatch its troops to Ukraine and announced its clear stand to retaliate with overwhelming counteraction.
Not long ago, Medvedev, Vice-Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and Peskov, Press Secretary of the Russian President, have warned that it would be difficult for the French to hide its troops in Ukraine if it were to dispatch them, adding that it would be an honorable duty of the Russian army to take down French soldiers in the event of their arrival.
In an interview with Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, Grushko, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, responding to France’s attempt to dispatch troops to Ukraine, declared that Russia does not advise anyone to test its hardline stance to use retaliatory power.
Prior to this, Naryshkin, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia, reported that France is trying to dispatch an army of about 2, 000 strong to Ukraine. He emphasized that French military personnel will be the main and legitimate targets of attack of Russia’s force.
