Today the relations of friendship between the DPRK and Russia are further expanding and growing stronger as reciprocal cooperative relations in all fields under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Russian Federation in April 2019.

He had a significant meeting with President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin in Vladivostok.

At the meeting the top leaders of the two countries agreed on the detailed orientation and measures to improve mutual understanding and trust, friendship and cooperation and give renewed impetus to the progress of the DPRK-Russia friendship in the new century and had in-depth discussions about the immediate issues of cooperation.

The historic meeting and talks served as a significant occasion in further strengthening the strategic and traditional ties of friendship between the two countries.

During his another official goodwill visit to the Russian Federation in September last year, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un met and had talks with President Putin to exchange candid and comprehensive opinions for further consolidating the relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperative relations and boosting mutual trust by deepening many-sided exchanges and cooperation in various fields including high-level visits between the two countries.

In particular, the top leaders of the two countries seriously discussed the important issues and the immediate cooperation matters arising in defending the sovereignty and development and interests of the two countries, peace and security in the region and the world and international justice by further strengthening strategic and tactical cooperation between the two countries and extending strong support to and solidarity with each other on the common front to frustrate the imperialists' military threat, provocation and high-handed and arbitrary practices to plunder independence, progress and peaceful life of humankind, and reached a satisfactory agreement and consensus of views.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's visit to the Russian Federation, which drew great interest and attention of the world, served as an epoch-making event that put the traditional and strategic DPRK-Russia friendship, cooperation and good neighbourly relations onto a new higher level and powerfully encouraged the just struggle for accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism.

Under the present situation in which the dominationist forces' arbitrary practices and violence to trample down sovereignty and justice are worsening, the DPRK-Russia friendship is further developing into the invincible comradeship and long-term strategic relations under the common idea of building powerful countries to firmly defend sovereignty and justice.

The recently fast-developing strategic cooperation between the two countries and wide mutual exchange and cooperation in various fields are drawing the attention of the international community.

The DPRK-Russia friendship, which is unprecedentedly developing under the special care of the top leaders of the two countries, will have a great influence not only on the development of the two countries but also on the establishment of international relations for independence and justice.
