Staff members of the Russian Embassy here laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on May 9 on the occasion of the 79 th anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The guards of honor of the Korean People’s Army lined up before the tower.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ambassador Alexandr Matsegora, Military Attaché Valeri Isaenko and other members of the embassy.
A wreath in the name of the Russian Embassy was laid at the tower.
The participants paid a silent tribute to the memory of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army and looked round the tower.
On the same day, staff members of the Russian Embassy laid a wreath and bouquets at the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District.
They also visited the liberation towers, statues of Soviet soldiers and cemeteries in regional areas.
