The Korean people planted more than 100 million trees in tens of thousand hectares of forest areas by mid-April this spring and are continuously expanding the successes.
Amid the intensified mass movement for forest restoration, tree planting is brisk in all parts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The forest restoration to provide the wealth of the country and lay a foundation for the happiness of the coming generations reflects the noble outlook of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the motherland and posterity.
Ro Il Nam, Section Chief of the Academy of Social Sciences, says:
"While giving field guidance to Tree Nursery No. 122 on December 2, 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said:
Since the forest restoration is a long-term undertaking that is carried out with an eye for ten years hence, we should never give up though no success is visible after planting trees just for one or two years.
We may undergo hardships today, but we should plant and tend trees with all sincerity picturing the future of the country to ourselves. When the afforestation of the whole country is realized, the younger generations will greatly benefit from it.
I am very pleased to find a job for success in the forest restoration campaign, a patriotic undertaking of lasting significance that we must do for posterity. This is a pride and happiness."
The mountains of the country get greener day by day under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un who mapped out a plan for covering the whole country with trees and flowers.
